  3. An interesting topic, Fatma.

Now you need to decide on ONE overarching question. Questions with "How" or "Why" are especially interesting.

You can choose a question from the ones above, or combine two questions, and focus it. For example, you could ask about the impact of the crisis on UAE nationals and expatriates in the UAE; or you could focus on the causes and/or the solutions.

To help you decide on a question, think about what information sources you can use for each topic: what information will you need and how will you get it?

Remember that you should include some UAE connection in whatever topic you choose (although this doesn't need to be the main focus).

Now make a new post "My main research question" in your blog by noon on Wednesday.

    thanks,
    David

  5. This article describes a video posted on the Citibank blog on the Financial crisis. The company’s chief admits that we have to be responsible, and fix the problems we’ve caused upon the environment. Many banks are trying to repair their image and regain people’s trust after avoiding the public for a long time. Bank of America, has started a website on how the public perceive this bank. Their CEO has also made some public appearances at several branches. In order to regain people’s trust, banks must approach its customers in a different way.

There is a dreadful challenge facing the industry. In one of the polls, the percent of people who are against the integrity of bankers was much higher than those who were with. Some banks decided to further promote the changes they’ve already made; for instant to persuade people into acknowledging that they have a brand new management, and that they’ve changed the way they operate.

    A) The most important is the first paragraph, since it talks about how the CEOs in banks are trying to get back on track.

    B) I have found this source using a google search.

    C) “Many banks are trying to repair their image and regain people’s trust after avoiding the public for a long time.”

    D) It helps to explain it more and elaborate my thesis.
